Your Education Leader
Dr. Tara Harrison has been the veterinarian at Potter Park Zoo for over 6 years. She has also done training at the Toledo Zoo, and Wildlife Safari. She has worked with captive wildlife as well as native Michigan wildlife the entire time. She has done work on neoplasia in exotic fields, as well as virulent systemic calcivirus in exotic fields. She has a Masters of Preventive Veterinary Medicine focusing on zoonotic diseases and diseases of wildlife and is a Board Certified Diplomate in the American College of Zoological Medicine. She has been education leader previously. Dr Harrison will be assisted by Professor Scott Harrison, Ph.D.
